Dare to Be a Daniel is a new training program from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) to help equip boys and girls ages 9 to 14 to share their faith in Jesus with others. Through a printed booklet, a CD-ROM, this fun, interactive Web site, and other tools, youth are given simple steps they can use when telling others about Christ. We’ve also developed a 13-Session Training Resource based on Dare to Be a Daniel that is now available. Check it out here.

Encourage Your Child to Take a Stand for Christ
We encourage you to treat your child’s spiritual growth with even more enthusiasm than his or her schoolwork and extracurricular activities. Once your child has received a copy of the Dare to Be a Daniel kit or started going through the material online, ask questions and see if they understand what they are learning. Here are some tips:

1) Pray for your child as they prepare to share their faith.

2) Read the material, talk with them about it, and share your experiences with them.

3) Help them discover biblical truths as they read the stories and memorize the verses.

4) Encourage them. Ask them how it is going. Help them in their fears and celebrate their victories.

5) Help them build their relationships and watch for ways to assist those who place their faith in Jesus Christ.
