Spiritual Help

Throughout my high school years, I've been tested and toyed with by Satan. My sophomore year my father died of cancer. As a result I started to party and involve myself in activities that were far from Christian approval. Now that I've finally graduated as salutatorian of my high school, I realize that I am full of sin. I have asked the Lord to cleanse me of my sins every day. However, I do not feel resolved of my sins. How do I know that He has forgiven me for the past three years?
How do I start to live as a Christian if I haven't been living like one? And how do I give my life to Jesus again?

Giving your life to Jesus and living the Christian life begins with faith and repentance. We must first be clear about who Jesus is and what He has done for us. You must come to a conclusion in your heart that Jesus really is God's Son, and that His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead is what you need to have your sins forgiven and to have right relationship with God.
I know someone who says they are saved, but they believe that if they die (or when Jesus comes back) they will go to hell if they have not asked Him to forgive them of their sins. I know that, if you are saved, nothing can keep you from heaven. I have tried to explain this to them, but they are very set in their ways. How can I get the point across in a nice way?

It's great that you're concerned about your friends. The Bible assures us that when we accept Jesus we become children of God and members of His family (John 1:12). Like an orphaned child is adopted into a family, we're adopted by God and made a part of His family forever. This has nothing to do with anything we've done; it's simply trusting Jesus by faith just as an adopted child trusts his parents when he comes into their family.
I keep allowing Satan to accuse me. Can you please give me some Scriptures that specifically deal with overcoming this?

The most important thing you can do to have victory over condemnation and temptation is to focus your attention on your relationship with Christ. As long as you live in this life, you will experience temptations of one sort or another. If you allow them to, they will distract you from the biblical truth that you are a child of God.
I have a Christian friend who stole $800 from his work. There is no way he will give it back because he doesn't want to get in trouble because he'd be looking at jail time. Would it be bad to give it to our church in a donation? It is God's, isn't it? He put it in my friends' hands, even if it was through a bad way. My friend has already asked for forgiveness, but he still doesn't know what to do. He keeps joking about using it. I just don't think he should keep the money because it's very easy to tempt him. Please tell me if you can help.

We understand your concern for your friend and what he should do with the money he stole. First, we want to say that we're glad your friend took the very important step of asking God to forgive him. The Bible teaches that God forgives us when we confess our sins to Him. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
